Steve is an enthusiastic technologist that enjoys tinkering with systems and processes to drive business innovation.
Prior to Co-Founding BaseCap Steve provided expertise at Morgan Stanley and Citigroup where he delivered solutions to assist with regulation, compliance, and business needs.
Steve graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelors of Science, and has leveraged his academic background in Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Technology to change the way organizations compete and do business.
Nicolas Guillen is a self-starter, business strategist, and entrepreneur with more than 14 years of experience in Financial Services and Technology.
Prior to Co-Founding BaseCap, Nick built teams to develop algorithms and implement innovative risk management technology solutions at Morgan Stanley, and other clients.
Nick started his career analyzing investment portfolios at UBS Financial Services. He has worked in several tech entrepreneurial projects, and served as the CFO of a sanitation and a solar energy company in East Africa. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Hannah de Regt has a background in consulting and project management and has worked with both boutique and big-5 firms running projects in digital transformation, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure implementations for customers in a variety of industries.
Hannah comes to BaseCap from Redapt, formerly Attunix, where she led and scaled the Delivery team from 12 to 150 employees. She was responsible for team operations including process development and automation, cross-team collaboration, and employee development.
Twenty years in mortgage created the knowledge for Jason’s becoming the Head of Mortgage Solutions. However, the approach came from pursuing betterment in the lives of those within his circle of influence.
To have “careered” is to “move swiftly and in an uncontrolled way in a specified direction” and so aptly defines Jason’s path. Having started with obtaining his Biblical Theology degree and working in the church, he then shifted to managing production and marketing for Tom Cruise, and then altered yet again to working in mortgage and understanding the way due diligence supports into all aspects of business. His career has traversed some unexpected ground, but was inexorably leading him to where he is today, helping people find a better way to make better choices.
Over the years Robert has formed the belief that successful development teams are made up of members who have a passion for ownership and a desire to not accept the limitation of existing technology but push themselves to invent.
Robert started in development working on Windows applications and frameworks, such as Microsoft’s DirectMusic and RealNetworks’ RealPlayer. As the need for Web application development increased Robert switched to building Web Applications and started his own consulting business which led him to Basecap, initially working as a consultant but quickly realizing he wanted to join fulltime.
His career started in graphic design, eventually moving into development, where he now leverages those skills to integrate and create user experiences across many platforms. Prior to working at BaseCap Analytics Matthew has worked with many fortune 500 companies as well as several tech startup’s across the U.S. When Matthew’s not coding away, he’ll usually be found outside playing with his Golden Retriever, Archie.
David has 30+ years as an executive running large scale commercial and retail banking operations.
He is a board member and advisor in financial services and financial technology, industries where data integrity is an every day issue.
George Ng was the co-founder and CTO of Cyence, the cyber risk modeling startup which was acquired in 2017 for $275M by Guidewire. Prior to being acquired, Cyence had raised $40M.
George is now the co-founder and chief technology officer at GGWP.com, and used to serve as a senior advisor for Guidewire’s Analytics and Data Services business unit where he lead product and engineering for analytic products and solutions.
Matt has 40+ years as a financial services executive in a wide range of areas including real estate finance, investment banking and private wealth management.
He is a strategic advisor with expertise in business development, sales management, portfolio management, new product development, and cultural transformation.
